Apple: Crestron iPad app number one in industry

Crestron has the number one iPad app in the industry according to Apple, after it was ranked 31st in the list of overall “Top Grossing iPad Apps” in the U.S on the iTunes app store.

Crestron has the number one iPad app in the industry according to Apple, after it was ranked 31st in the list of overall “Top Grossing iPad Apps” in the U.S on the iTunes app store.

No other industry app has reached the top 100. The Crestron iPad app even outranked many retail apps and games on the list, including Tetris for iPad.

Similarly, the Crestron iPhone app was selected by Apple for television commercials in Europe and Asia, showcasing the power of its new iPhone 3GS.

“Our relationship with Apple continues to grow closer and stronger,” says Crestron director of marketing Vincent Bruno.

“We embraced the iPhone very early as a cool mobile control device and led the industry with our iPad app. Apple recognises the features, flexibility and reliability that our apps bring to these magical devices.”

The Crestron control app for the iPhone was localised in French and Chinese and was featured in 30 second ads for the new iPhone 3GS. Crestron Mobile Pro is the only control app that works on the latest 3G technology for true mobile control anywhere on the cellular network.

“Other companies may offer apps or even have an Apple operating system,” Vincent says.

“But none offer the flexibility of customising the GUI design and control functionality, and none have Apple’s vote of confidence like we do. We will continue to develop cool new features and push them out to all of our app customers.”
