Obonok Technology has released version 4 of the popular T1 transmitter and R1 receiver.

Obonok Technology has released version 4 of the popular T1 transmitter and R1 receiver.

The new units reduce the signal noise over low cost cable and are backward compatible with all existing models. The T1 and R1 pair support resolutions of 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, and all computer resolutions up to WUXGA (1920x1200) over a distance of 46metres. 1080i/720p and other resolution/formats transmit 61m. Power only the transmitter when using a pair or every third receiver unit when using RD1 Daisy-chain receiver.

The new electronic equipment, referred to as the Blu-WireÔ Series, are the product of extensive R&D resulting in the unique ability to connect a high-definition source, such as a Blu-Ray disc player, to hundreds of HDTV’s within a 350-metre radius using only singular Cat 5e/6 cables. The signal format utilized is HDMI, High-Definition Multimedia Interface. The Blu-Wire Series improves HDTV picture quality in showroom displays and greatly simplifies many other types of HDTV installations where the display is further away than the standard 1.8m length of HDMI hookup cables.

Obonok’s proprietary developments manifest themselves in multiple U.S. patents-pending, industry-leading HDMI signal extension distance, reliable performance, plug-and-play user friendliness, compatibility with HDCP content protection and application adaptability. Obonok has made highly innovative technical advancements in the areas of matching networks, encryption and clock jitter removal that limits the performance and applicability of conventional HDMI extension transmitters and receivers.
