    Amber Technology DRR-103 and DRR-2T tuners

    Amber Technology has announced the introduction of the DRR-103 Component style DAB+/FM (RDS) Tuner and the DRR-2T 1RU Dual Tuner DAB+/FM (RDS) Tuner. Both units are proudly designed and engineered in Australia.

    The DRR-103 DAB+/FM (RDS) Tuner is presented in a high quality brushed black anodised (430mm wide) finish and is suitable for connection to new or existing audio systems via its analogue or digital (coaxial and SPDIF) outputs. The DRR-103 features a Live Pause function that allows the user to pause and rewind live radio for up to four hours. A generous 20 user assignable presets are available for both DAB+ and FM bands each. Power consumption for the DRR-103 is less than 1.5 watts in full operation mode and is less than 0.6 watts in standby.

    The DRR-2T DAB+/FM(RDS) Tuner is finished in a high quality black anodised finish and is intended for standard 19” 1RU mount installation. The DRR-2T DAB+/FM(RDS) unit is configured with Dual Tuners, Analogue or digital (coaxial and SPDIF ) outputs for each tuner. A generous 30 user assignable presets are available for both DAB+ and FM bands. Control of the DRR-2T is via its RS-232 input and can be readily integrated into any professional or custom installation. Power consumption for the DRR-2T is 2.5 watts in full operation mode and is less than 0.7 watts in standby.

    Digital radio (DAB+) is a new to Australia and offers an exceptionally high sound and signal quality, with enhanced features that don’t currently existing on the analogue bands such as:-

    • Clearer sound and improved reception.
    • Additional features on advanced digital radio models such as the DRR-103 include the ability to pause and rewind live radio.
    • up to 18 digital only stations with different music genres and existing stations you know and love
    • Tune by station name, not frequency
    • Artist and song information scrolls along the display which can also display, weather and news updates etc.
