CasaTunes has recently introduced RadioTime to the company's software package.

The new update, version 2.7 of the PC-based software which drives the CasaTunes system, brings a new selection of content to its users, with the ability to play radio stations from around the world - on top of the existing ability to play internet radio stations.

Radio stations can be selected by either geographical location (using the 'Local Radio' button) or by genre, language, etc. It can even stream podcasts directly into your home.

And of course, users can listen to different stations in different rooms, as they can with music off the server's hard drive or a connected Apple iPod (up to three tracks can be played simultaneously from a single connected iPod - all with cover art).

Further to this development is the integration of the CasaTunes system with the Philips Pronto range of remote controls. Now users can also control their whole home audio solution from the comfort of their universal remote, with full two way communication, cover art and control.

"This is another great step forward from CasaTunes, the product just keeps getting better," says James Hicks from Oceanic Distribution, the exclusive Australian distributor of the product.

"This product has the best user interface options on the market, better than many products well over twice the price."

Existing users of CasaTunes can simply download the new software update on their server machine and they will be up and running. The app for iPhone which works with both the iPhone and iTouch is available for free download on the app store.
