A new desktop keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) extender from Gefen supports HDMI and USB 2.0 peripherals to allow laptops, tablets, Blu-rays and more to be extended up to 100m over two Cat 5 cables.

USB 2.0 peripherals such as keyboard/mouse, scanner, camera or any device using USB can all be extended over the same cable.

Gefen’s Extra Long Range (ELR) technology based on HDBaseT supports a delivery of 1080p full HD with two USB peripherals for an excellent performance.

The HD KVM ELR Extender reduces the amount of cables needed to extend multiple signals while lengthening the distance you can reach. HD video is delivered with zero drop-outs; USB data speeds reach up to 480Mbps for an instant delivery.

To install, you simply connect the HDMI source to the sender unit, and the remote HDMI display and USB peripherals to the receiver unit. Cameras, hard drives, printers and scanners are all supported. Industry standard Cat 5 cables connect the sender to the receiver unit.

Locking power supplies prevent disconnections, while small rack mountable enclosures offer an easy installation.
