Audio Products Group has introduced the new Niles Ceiling Mount (CM) loudspeaker line, offering custom installers and their customers a highly stylised, cost effective loudspeaker solution.

When Niles introduced the third generation of its DS Directed Soundfield Loudspeakers in 2011, the company presented a loudspeaker line that addressed the challenges professional installers face every day.

With the introduction of the new CM Architectural Loudspeakers Niles’ provides installers a vast assortment of application-specific loudspeakers that fit into the same sized cut-out as the DS Direct Soundfield Loudspeakers making them perfect for projects of any scale and any budget.

Thin-bezel, ultra-low profile, magnetically attached grilles and Niles' patent-pending spring-loaded mounting clamps provide a crisp, clean finish while greatly reducing installation time. For even greater installation flexibility, all CM speakers include paintable, rust-resistant round grilles with a square grille option to coordinate with any available décor.

Installers can now specify and install systems using any combination of Niles’ CM and DS loudspeakers thanks to the similarities in size, performance and aesthetics found between the two lines. This new “family” look is also a valuable selling point both from an aesthetic and future upgrade perspective.

Similarly to the DS line, the CM line is available in a variety of 7 inch and 8 inch models and is organised in the same logical grouping. To complete to line, there are also two specialty speakers, the CM4PR, a 3.5 inch model designed to resemble lighting fixtures and the CM7SD, a 7 inch shallow depth speaker that needs a mere 65mm mounting depth.
