Nintendo Wii

While the Wii wasn't designed to be a media hub, the Wii Opera Browser and Wii Media Centre X provides functionality to stream your JPG, GIF and PNG images, MP3 audio and Flash Video (FLV) files from your computer to your Wii.

The Wii console communicates with the Internet even when the power is turned off via WiiConnect24 to deliver game updates even when the system is idle.

Two USB ports are located at its rear, and an SD card slot hides behind the cover on the front of the console, which can be used for uploading photos as well as backing up saved game data and downloaded Virtual Console games.

The Wii console is backward compatible with Nintendo GameCube software and most of GameCube’s peripherals.
