Pakedge Device & Software is introducing its S24P8 24-Port Gigabit/Hybrid Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Switch, which offers eight ports of gigabit PoE and 16 standard gigabit ports, making it well suited and cost-effective for installations that do not require a lot of PoE devices.

It’s ideal for streaming HD IP camera feeds and handing high-speed wireless transmission.

The S24P8 provides eight ports of full Power Over Ethernet, and is designed to meet the specific needs of systems integrators who need a versatile Ethernet switch in installations that have a mix of PoE and non-PoE devices. Each of the eight POE ports can be individually and remotely power cycled.

In addition, the Pakedge S24P8 has four fibre optic ports and can operate as a fibre hub even with long-distance cable runs, making it ideal for connecting guest houses, pool houses or an additional building on a property that is away from the main home installation.

The S24P8 offers high data throughput and stable operation, and can accommodate devices such as HD megapixel IP cameras and streaming HD video over IP.

The 1U rack space S24P8 is designed for easy installation, with all cable connections made from the rear panel. It is stackable, for use in larger installations that scale up as the project progresses.
