Somfy Systems, Inc. broadens the capabilities of drapery motorisation with the new Glydea Range. With one rail, two motors - Glydea 35 DCT and Glydea 60e DCT – and various control modules, Glydea offers a wide range of options for any project requirement.

Glydea provides a convenient solution for glare reduction and privacy while also reducing energy costs and protecting furnishings from damaging UV rays. Installation is made easy with spring loaded one-touch hardware, and with an aesthetically pleasing cover design, unsightly cables and inner motor components are conveniently concealed. The Glydea motor can be installed to the right or left side of the track, and may be fabricated to operate one way (side draw) or two way (split draw), and is available for all types of draperies such as Pinch Pleat, Ripplefold, and Accordia.

With Glydea the difference is in the details. The Touch Motion feature allows draperies to be opened or closed simply by pulling on the fabric. Manual override disengages the motor when the drapery is adjusted manually which is ideal for power outages and also protects fabric from damage. “My” function allows users to set a preferred drapery openness position for easy access. Glydea’s motor design provides for quiet operation and also allows the user to adjust speed settings.

Glydea offers standard control of dry contact and IR, and is also compatible with Radio Technology Somfy (RTS), RS485, Z-Wave, and Zigbee technologies via plug-in modules. Glydea can be operated by various types of Somfy controls such as hand-held remotes, wireless wall switches, table top controls, timers, and third-party automation systems.

Integrators can now provide consumers with a positive user experience, superior performance, reliability, and ease of operation with Glydea motorisation for draperies.
