Strong Technologies digital video recorder with AV input for recording from external source

    20 September 2010 | Latest products

The SRT 5495A has composite and component AV Input, although most games consoles currently only output RCA (composite). Most camcorders, digital camcorders, digital cameras and Pay TV can take full advantage of the component input providing better quality recordings. With the ability to add an external hard drive, you can even back up old home movies from VCR, or place DVD movies or music CDs onto your hard drive.

Most LCD and plasma screens do not offer inbuilt recording capabilities and often those that do will only capture standard definition digital signal. The Strong HD SRT 5495A offers recording capabilities as well as time shift (pause and rewind live TV), MP3 music playback, digital photo viewing via USB and SD card reader and an easy to use EPG to program multiple recordings.

    The SRT 5495A offers:

•Superior picture quality and improved reception, ease of use and access to all digital TV channels.

•MPEG-4 Compatibility allows recording and playback of 3D Broadcasts on a 3DTV

•Twin tuner allows recording of three programs at once while watching a fourth (from two networks)

•AV Inputs (component and composite) allow recording from external sources: camcorders, VCR, digital cameras, game consoles, DVD's and CD's and Pay TV, directly to the hard drive.

•On screen electronic program guide with one touch recording.

•Massive 500GB internal hard disk drive, plus the ability to record onto external USB hard drive.

•SD card reader with media file playback, also available from USB 2.0
