The Strong SRT 5425 is a high definition MPEG-4 digital set top box with the additional feature of being able to turn into a digital video recorder and record to an external USB flash drive or hard drive.

This unit offers all the functions of your standard DVR, including record and playback, one touch recording via EPG, and the ability to record one program while watching another from the same network. This makes the Strong SRT 5425 an ideal replacement for an ageing VCR.

The new feature that Strong has added to it’s latest unit is the file playback. This unit can not only allow you to watch all free-to-air channels in superior picture quality and record via external hard drive, it can also play back files, JPEG Viewing and MP3, as well as DAT, MPG, MPEG, AVI, DivX, MP4, VOB and many more.
