Vantage Controls 1080 HD-A HD Video switcher

Vantage is proud to introduce its new 1080HD video switcher, a versatile and sleek device that takes any analog or digital high-definition source and delivers a crisp HD picture to as many as eight displays throughout a home or business. The Vantage 1080HD is designed to maximize control, simplify functionality, and expedite installation of analog and digital media sources.

With a whole-home video distribution system, users are able to view content from their Blu-ray/DVD player, satellite receiver, cable set-top box, video server, or Internet TV device on any display in the house without the need for individual sources at each location. All sources remain discretely tucked away in a centralized location, preserving the home's aesthetics and elegant design.

The Vantage 1080HD supports up to 10 sources of high-definition component video per unit, transmitting high-definition signals through a single cat 6 cable to any display within 250 meters. This device has the ability to support additional 1080HD video switchers for a maximum 64 zones of HD video and audio. Each chassis is field-upgradeable to digital HDMI though a simple card insert (coming in mid-2012), resulting in a flexible, long-term video solution that meets the demands of the ever-changing technological landscape now and in the future.
