ZXT-110 Z-Wave-to-AC IR extender

The ZXT-110 is a mini converter box from Z-wave to air-conditioner (AC) IR that extends the range up to 30 metres.

It supports Z-wave networks with multiple Z-Wave compliant gateways/ portable controllers by translating Z-Wave’s Thermostat commands and Configuration commands to AC IR control code. Users can set the AC IR code from the built-in code library.

Users can configure and setup the ZXT-110 using Z-wave’s configuration command class either by primary controller or secondary controller after the ZXT-110 is included into the Z-wave network with the primary controller. It will allow users to use the controller to control their IR-controlled air-conditioner using Z-wave “Thermostat commands class” via ZXT-110. By transmitting the IR control code with a wide range of carrier frequencies (15k to 455kHz) it is able to overcome obstacles to ensure the instructions were received. This extender box has an IR emitter that supports two levels of transmission power to avoid saturating the IR receivers. The ZXT-110 also supports battery operation that make it conveniently place to anywhere of the home.
